Walls Fall Down // A Book Review

Walls Fall Down

Have you ever had an up-against-the-wall moment in your life? Where you feel like you are facing a challenge too difficult to conquer? I have too. I recently read Walls Fall Down by Dudley Rutherford, and feel refreshed, renewed and newly motivated that I can face any obstacle with the help of the Lord.

Book Description:

The secrets to overcoming any obstacle you are facing today are revealed through one of the most extraordinary victories ever recorded—the battle of Jericho. Whatever walls you may be up against, you don’t have to stay stuck behind them.

Enlightening and encouraging, Walls Fall Down tells how Joshua and the Israelites followed God’s unusual plan to walk around the heavily fortified walls of Jericho for seven days. The Lord promised that at end of those seven days, He would cause the walls of the famed city to fall, allowing His people to take possession of the Promised Land. Seven spiritual principles are in this story, and they are available to you today.

Join pastor Dudley Rutherford on a seven-day journey to discover how the foundation behind Joshua’s victory is the key to overcoming our stubborn hurdles and unsolvable issues. When we choose to do things God’s way, walls crumble, victory replaces defeat, and a blessed future unfolds. Discover how your personal Jericho is no match for the power of a great God.

Book Review:

My husband, Stuart, and I have been on a journey of raising financial support for over a year. It has definitely been one of the  most difficult things we have faced individually, and as a couple. But it has grown us closer in ways I never imagined. There have been some really great times, and there have been some really challenging times. When I read the description for Walls Fall Down, I just knew it would be a great book for us to read together. Over the past few weeks, we have done just that, and it has been such an immense encouragement to us both. It has reminded us of battles God’s people have faced, and how with faith and trust in God to enable them to overcome, they have been victorious.

Each chapter is a separate day in their 7-day journey around Jericho. And each day has a unique encouragement for different aspects of facing our obstacles. It is definitely worth a read, and will encourage you in new ways on how to face your struggles with the power of the Lord, and trusting that with Him, anything is possible!
