2017 brought about a lot of great things…Stranger Things Season 2, Star Wars whatever number we’re on, Tay went bad girl, “Salt Bae” happened,
men started wearing rompers, and I read 27+ books! (I say 27+ because I only started recording them in March, but I know I read some Jan and Feb, I just didn’t blog about them.)
I wanted to whittle my list down to my top 5, since I’ve been getting a lot of requests for book suggestions lately, but let me tell you, it was a lot harder than it seems! I read some FAB books in 2017, and it was hard to pick just my top 5!
But after much anxiety and tribulation, (not really) I did it! The following are my top 5 books from 2017, each one linked to the blog post where it’s reviewed.
#1 Favorite book: Small Great Things by Jodi Picoult
#2-5 in no specific order:
Honorable mention (because I’m an includer):
Safely Home by Randy Alcorn (Ok, so I didn’t read this book this year, but it’s ALWAYS going to make it on my favorite books list. Link is to Amazon.)
My 2018 reading plan is two-fold: 1- I’m hoping to read at least 36 books, (basically 3 per month,) and if you’d like to follow along on my journey, (even though I plan on continuing to blog my monthly book reviews) add me as a friend on GoodReads! I’m always looking for new recommendations, and GoodReads has become a great tool for that! But if you have any recommendations right now, please share in the comments! I’d love to hear!
And 2- I am such a huge fiction girl, I’m going to try to get myself out of my comfort zone and have 1 of those 3 monthly books be non-fiction. If you have any recommendations for good non-fiction, share those too!!
