Book Review: She Reads Truth Bible

If you are a fan of She Reads Truth, then you will absolutely fall in love with this gorgeous Bible. Not that the Bible needs any additional help for you to fall in love with it, but reading something that is as pretty on the outside as it is on the inside never hurts ;)

I’ve been a fan of the website and it’s corresponding app for a long time now, and when I saw that the authors created a beautiful Bible, chock full of Bible studies, Bible reading plans, and creative writing of verses, I was so excited to try it out!

Sometimes it can be difficult to decide where exactly to begin reading the Bible.

She Reads Truth

Have you heard of “She Reads Truth”?? It’s a website and an app that encourage and give women an easy way to be in the Word of God every day. Not only that, but it’s a community of women reading through the Word of God TOGETHER daily. But if you wish to read through something other than what is the daily reading, there are a bunch of other reading plans you can use for your own daily devotions.

But now, not only is it a website and an app, but it’s also a book! She Reads Truth the book is the stories of the founders of She Reads Truth, Raechel Myers and Amanda Bible Williams.

Curveballs Aren’t Just for Baseball.

curveballs

Ever since I was a little girl, I wanted to be a mommy, just like my mom. My childhood is chock-full of memories playing “mommy,” and mimicking my mom throughout her daily routine. I had a doll that I named, “Pretty Baby,” (I know, real original…) that I carried EVERYWHERE, and I even had a play ironing board (it was plastic…) that I’d used to “iron” Pretty Baby’s clothes while my mom ironed our family’s.

Close-by.

When I was in 6th grade, my parents separated. More specifically, my parents came to the decision that my dad would move out. It was heartbreaking for me. You see, I was a total daddy’s girl. When I was younger, one of my favorite parts of the day was when the door leading inside from the garage would open, and I’d hear my dad walk through the hallway, his loafers clicking on the hardwood.

Knox.

I’ve been meaning to post this for weeks, but new mommy syndrome doesn’t allow much time for blogging…but better late than never right? :)

Three weeks ago, our baby boy, Knox Jeffrey Grandlienard, entered our lives…a week and a half early! He was born on Christmas Eve at 7:54pm, weighing 7lbs 13oz and 20.5in long. It was one of the most difficult days of my life, but the end definitely justified the means.

Walls Fall Down

Have you ever had an up-against-the-wall moment in your life? Where you feel like you are facing a challenge too difficult to conquer? I have too. I recently read Walls Fall Down by Dudley Rutherford, and feel refreshed, renewed and newly motivated that I can face any obstacle with the help of the Lord.

Book Description:

Baby Grand is Growing // 33 Weeks

One of my friends recently commented on how I haven’t been posting very many pictures of myself and my bump on social media lately. Yes, I have definitely been MIA on social media lately. As I stated last week, I’ve been spending a lot more of my time reading up on birth and baby’s first few months, as well as spending lots of time with Stuart, while it’s still just the two of us.

It’s Been a While…

You may or may not have noticed that I’ve been slightly MIA from blogging lately. There’s a very good reason for that.

NESTING.

It’s serious, guys. I was a little critical of what exactly went into the whole nesting “thing,” but it’s for real. I am NOT one of those people who normally loves organizing or cleaning, but it’s like someone else has taken over my body and all I want to do is organize, clean, and prepare our living space for our little man.

Lake Pleasant.

Lake Pleasant

Last week Stuart and I celebrated our 2nd anniversary. We were blessed to be able to go away for a few days to Lake Pleasant in northern Indiana. We had an amazing time simply relaxing together, reminiscing over the past year, and dreaming of what’s coming in our future…as well as paddle boating, canoeing, fishing and eating some pretty fabulous meals.

#lifewithoutfilters // weariness

weariness

This month marks the one year “anniversary” of Stuart and me beginning our journey of raising support together. This time last year, Stuart had just quit his 9-5 investment job, and we were moving out of our beloved Columbus townhouse to embark on an unknown length of time of nomad life. When we began our journey 12 months ago, we both anticipated the time it would take us being a lot less than where we are now.
