She Reads Truth

Have you heard of “She Reads Truth”?? It’s a website and an app that encourage and give women an easy way to be in the Word of God every day. Not only that, but it’s a community of women reading through the Word of God TOGETHER daily. But if you wish to read through something other than what is the daily reading, there are a bunch of other reading plans you can use for your own daily devotions.

But now, not only is it a website and an app, but it’s also a book! She Reads Truth the book is the stories of the founders of She Reads Truth, Raechel Myers and Amanda Bible Williams.

Zeke Isaiah.

You want to know something weird? I should still be pregnant. For another week at least. My original due date was January 22nd. But here we are, a week before my due date with a 2 week old baby! All “thanks” to high blood pressure, just like my pregnancy with Knox. And let me tell you, that’s not the only thing that caused deja vu to my pregnancy with Knox.

Before you find out the gender of your baby [IF you find out] lots of people will ask you how similar your pregnancies feel or if you have some idea as to the gender of your baby.

“Buh Bye Baby.”

Dear Knox,

I’ve said a lot of goodbyes in my day. Before you were born, I lived in a different city every year for 5 years, and had to say bye to a lot of good friends as I moved away. Not to mention the tears that come when we have to say bye to your grandparents, aunts and uncles every time a visit comes to an end.

20 Thoughts that go through your mind during a 20 week pregnancy ultrasound

Last week Stuart and I had our big 20 week ultrasound for baby #2! I already shared about some emotions that occur during pregnancy, but that’s only part of it! There are so many thoughts running through your mind during that quick 30 minutes, and I thought I’d share some with you!

  1. Good thing this is my husband sitting next to me, cause she wants me to roll my pants down pretty darn low.
  2. Geez that gel stuff is freezing.

Boymom round 2!

Yep, I’m pregnant! And yep, just last week we found out that I’m remaining in the boymom club! [For now ;)]

Blog Announcement Pic

There are so many emotions that go through your mind as you walk into [and out of] the ultrasound room when you find out the gender of your baby. But our rollercoaster of pregnancy emotions didn’t begin there. This has been a TOUGH pregnancy, friends. Let’s rewind a bit…

At the end of April I started having crazy dreams, and began freaking out thinking I was pregnant.

Snap Snap Snaps and Singleness.

So you’re twenty-something, [or thirty-something] and single. And as much fun as Taylor Swift’s song, “22” makes it sound, you are just NOT happy. Most of your friends are either married, engaged, or seriously dating the guy they’re expecting a ring from any day now.

You’ve faced that bittersweet phone call time and time again, where the high-pitched voice of your bff excitedly tells you that in T-a year or less, she’ll have a new best friend, and one that’s a boy.

Learning How to Wife // Cleaning

Last weekend, Stuart and I went to Family Life‘s marriage conference, “A Weekend to Remember.” A few couples from our church all decided to go together, and it was really fun. Stuart and I attended our first “Weekend to Remember” 6 months into our marriage, so this experience was a lot different. Back then, we were figuring out all the “newness” of marriage and living life together, such as communication, daily forgiveness and grace, how best to love each other and what true intimacy means.

Now that we’re 3 1/2 years in, all wise and sage in the ways of marriage, we realized we were still in the process of learning, you guessed it: communication, daily forgiveness and grace, how best to love each other and what true intimacy means.

Lizzy the Lioness by Lisa Bevere

Bravery isn’t always about facing scary situations with big muscles and confidence. Sometimes it means knowing you can’t handle it and asking for help. This is the lesson Lizzy the Lioness will teach children, who will quickly fall in love with the fun feline. I am such a fan already, and I know this book will be a favorite of my children for years to come!

My Top 15 Health + Fitness Tips.

Over the years, I have read about and tried a TON of different health and fitness books, workouts and diets. Some have worked, some haven’t, but along the way, I learned a lot about what works and doesn’t work for my body.

For example, last week I wrote about my February Whole[ish]30 challenge. Through that experience, I learned that what I needed was a lifestyle diet that I knew I could continue longer term than just 30 days.
