5 Things Fridays.

Yay it’s Friday! And today, that means another “5 Things Friday” post…just 5 fun, random things on my mind that I want to share with you! 

  1. I just finished the book, Safely Home, by Randy Alcorn. (Yesterday morning at 1am because I couldn’t put it down!) It was by far one of the BEST books I’ve ever read, and one that really touched my heart.

Have you ever read a verse in a random, unexpected place (i.e. NOT the Bible), but had it strike a chord in a way that it never has before? That happened to me the other day. I started reading the book, Safely Home by Randy Alcorn, and it mentioned Luke 9:62, just as a random thought of one of the characters. 

Jesus said to him, “No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for the kingdom of God.”

It hit me.

It’s Time for A New Yardstick.

Sometimes I think part of being a woman is to struggle with comparison. And social media has only made it more difficult. I know throughout my life, comparison has definitely been one of my biggest struggles.

Today is the 2nd day in a row of very rainy, dreary days. I know there are people out there who love the rain, (they probably live in Seattle) but I am NOT one of them. I know we need the rain to keep things growing and healthy, but rainy days really affect my mood. All I feel like doing is lounging in sweats, reading books and drinking coffee.
